For some of you just stumbling on this page or for those of you just coming back into my life or whomever you are....I figure I'd write/time this little write up on my life and where I've been for the past 10 years: 1998 - Graduate High School. Start Attending Kutztown University. Playing in "Purified" with brother and 2 friends. We record "Speaking is easy over the next 18 months and play to hundreds of people at 30-40 shows during that time. 1999 - I get my first "big kid" job as a bank teller. 2000- The band is done in the fall and I begin to search for what I'm supposed to do with my life. 2001 - My parents move to Texas and I move to Allentown. I spend a year on my own, learning what the "real world is like" 2002 - I move to Texas after a series of events that make it clear it is time for a change. I meet my future wife 2 months before moving. 2002-2004 - I'm living in Texas and playing for Ross King as a part time bass and electric guitar player. The rest of my time I'm working at a local credit union. I attend "Community Church" where Ross is a pastor and for the first time am at home in a church, feeling the freedom and grace that the Gospel truly brings. Playing with Ross takes me all over the country from gigs back in PA to Tennessee to Florida. This is my "Rock Star" phase. 2004 - I move back to Pennsylvania because my future wife is back there. It's too much to date long distance. (the best move I ever made) 2005-2007 - I work as a Teller, a New Accounts Person, and finally as an Assitant Branch Manager. During this time we attend a couple churches, before settling at "Cornerstone Presbyterian Church" (PCA). It is the best church we've ever attended. The Gospel is never clearer and yet confounding. It's the first time I see the Old Testament have such life and meaning in context to Christ's message and purpose. June 24, 2007 - Annie and I get married. Best Day Ever. and I've been taking classes ever since. Annie has a few months left in a Dietician internship. When she finishes, she'll be an RD and hopefully start working at a hospital. I'm about 2.5 semesters away from graduating with a BS in Business. I plan on doing my MBA right after that. I hope that catches everyone up on where I've been for 10 years. ab. |
